Filter gained mainstream success in 1995 with the release of the industrial rock single "Hey Man, Nice Shot." Four years later, the band received even more attention for its ballad "Take My Picture," which is still heard frequently on rock radio. After taking a break in 2005, singer Richard Patrick formed a new band called Army of Anyone with Robert and Dean DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots fame.

Army of Anyone called in quits in 2007 and after Filter reunited, Patrick refocused his attention on their fourth record, Anthems for the Damned, which hit stores last week.
